For my fellow smartphone nature photography enthusiasts out there, check out The Great Nature Project Global Snapshot of Biodiversity 2015. The project, in collaboration with National Geographic and iNaturalist, encourages humans to get outside May 15-25 and make observations of local biodiversity (plants, animals, fungus, other organisms) with their cameras and submit the photos to an online photo stream.
From the site: “The goal of the global snapshot is to document biodiversity all over the world during a specific window of time that is repeated annually. Over time, this will provide data that can be used to answer scientific questions or provide useful information to decision makers.”
Ready? Set! Snap!
You can check out my photostream via the Great Nature Project.
